What happens at the appointment?
Your initial appointment will take about 2-3 hours and will include a full consultation as well as your treatment itself. We will discuss in detail to make sure your natural colourings, face shape and desired look are all carefully combined before infusing colour into your lips using a pen-like device, carefully shading with tiny doses of pigment that are deposited below the skin's surface to create your new lip contour or blush. The pigmentation will take a couple of weeks to fully settle in. I therefore ask clients to return around 4-6 weeks after treatment to have their lips touched up. Once this is done the results will last for around a year before any further colour boost is required.
What is the recovery time?
The great new is you will be able to go straight back to work following the treatment should you wish. Initially you'll look as if you're wearing heavy lipstick, which will then gradually fade over the next few days. You may experience a little swelling and redness directly after the treatment too.
What are the risks?
As with all cosmetic procedures, there are minor risks including infection, allergic reaction, misplaced colour or scarring. However, these complications are very rare and I always work to the highest health and safety standards, minimising any risk.
